We’re absolutely delighted to share that Black Ivy has won not one, but two awards at the 2024 National Hotel Awards: Best Interior Design and City Boutique Hotel of the Year.
These awards celebrate the work we put into making Black Ivy feel different from anywhere else in the city. We’ve always wanted to create a place that feels alive, welcoming, and beautifully put together and it’s a privilege to have that recognised on a national scale.
Celebrating Our Interior Design Win
The design of Black Ivy has always been personal to us. Every colour, fabric, and light fixture has been chosen to reflect the energy of our surroundings in Bruntsfield. The interiors are warm, expressive, and built to create a feeling, not just a look.
From cosy corners and statement wallpapers to playful patterns and soft lighting, we’ve shaped the space to suit morning coffee, late dinners, and everything in between. Being named Best Interior Design in Scotland reminds us why people return again and again, not just for a room, but for an experience.
City Boutique Hotel of the Year
This award recognises the way we connect with our guests, neighbours, and the wider Edinburgh community. At Black Ivy, every stay is personal. Guests are greeted by name, looked after by a local team who genuinely enjoy what they do, and surrounded by an atmosphere that feels part of the neighbourhood.
We’re a hotel, but we’re also a bar, a brasserie, a terrace hangout spot, and a favourite among locals for good coffee or a weekend cocktail. To be awarded City Boutique Hotel of the Year is a big moment for our whole team.
